26 Jan 2005

I want to congratulate and thank all the LX Associated schools and their members for the support you have being giving to the Association. You are all very important to the Team and to the Association. Every student, competitor, instructor or people that support and cheer for us. I really appreciate your effort to make our team better every day.

This past weekend I assisted the Team that represented the LX Association in the Winter Wars tournament in Dallas . It was great to watch all the guys competing. Each and every one of you made a very important contribution to the overall results of the Team.

Our Team showed numerous qualities such as good sportsmanship, unity of purpose, respect for Team Members and opponents, strong desire, team spirit, hierarchy, and skills. I am very proud of everyone that is a member of our Team.

I would also like to thank Carlos Machado for putting on a great tournment and for helping developing and spreading Jiu Jitsu in Texas, Rick Eckerson for all his invaluable support, Scott Hewitt for always being ready to help the Team and Howe for all his effort running the website to keep the Team updated.

Again, congratulations on a job well done, and many thanks for being part of our family.

Your coach,
Leonardo “The Wizard” Xavier

26 Jan 2005

This past weekend, our team went to Dallas to participate in the prestigious "Winter Wars Tournament", hosted by Carlos Machado, the pioneer of BJJ in Texas. With over 300 competitors and a full house, the event was the biggest yet with the best BJJ players in the Southwest representing their teams.

The LX Association was very represented by 18 students from the LX Associated schools: schools from Oklahoma (Titan Martial Arts and Red Line BJJ), Louisiana ( Houma and Nola BJJ) and Houston (LX BJJ).

The LX Team, led by “The Wizard” himself, and his right arm Scott Hewitt had an impressive performance. All the students did a great job competing and showed a tremendous amount of courage on their way to a combined effort which gave the LX Association the 2nd place team trophy.
